Amy Winehouse is back in the studio writing her next album and this eagerly anticipated follow-up to her Back To Black record will take influence from... The Wizard of Oz.

Wino reportedly loves the surreal look, sound and score of the 1939 film, and one of her new songs heavily samples the theme tune. The soundtrack and score of the Judy Garland musical will be a theme running through her next album.

Fans can definitely look forward to that.


Avril Lavigne's Malaysian Show Faces Possible Ban

Avril Lavigne is slated to perform in Kuala Lumpur at the end of this month, but Malaysia's religious party is proposing a ban.

Kaiser Chiefs Hit Back At Noel Gallagher

We reported previously, that Noel Gallagher slammed the music of the Kaiser Chiefs. The latter has now struck back!

Drummer Nick Hogdson implied that Noel Gallagher was trying to gain publicity for the Oasis upcoming album, and that this act of criticising bands always seems to happen when Oasis put out an album. The band is not offended, and instead feels it's brilliant that they are the target this time.

Well, it's just free publicity for all anyway.


Oasis Speaks About New Album

Noel Gallagher speaks again! And for once, he's not lashing out at others. He tells us about the Oasis new album.

Noel Gallagher described the band's latest offering, Dig Out Your Soul, as biblical. The album was written separately by frontman Liam, bassist Andy, and himself, and they never discussed the lyrics.

The album's first single, "The Shock Of Lightning," will be released in September.


30 Seconds To Mars Sued

30 Seconds to Mars is in legal trouble as their ex-label, EMI, files a lawsuit of USD$30 million against them, for leaving the company.
