Movie Minute: The Rocker
By News Desk
Drummer Robert "Fish" Fishman (Rainn Wilson) still can't get over the fact that his now-famous band kicked him out 20 years ago. He wanted the fame and the glory, but more than anything he wanted the rock 'n' roll life.
Now Fish is given a (second) chance of a lifetime, to embark on a new tour with a new, young band, the next generation of cool rock musicians. Despite his new gig, he remains a throwback to the '80s, tight leather pants, corny pick-up lines and all.
Can audiences embrace this eccentric drummer? Can his band accept his wild rock 'n' roll ways? And most importantly, can he move on from his past?
Opening in cinemas in Singapore on September 25.
