My Chemical Romance Covers Bob Dylan

Fans of My Chemical Romance watch out! The band will be contributing something special to the soundtrack for the upcoming film adaptation of Watchmen.

Gerard Way and company will be doing a remake of Bob Dylan's "Desolation Row," which Director Zack Synder has said is "pretty freaking cool."

Watchmen is an influential graphic novel written by legendary comic creator Alan Moore, who also wrote V for Vendetta. The track will play at the close of the movie.

Franz Ferdinand's Unconventional Recording

Franz Ferdinand are getting creative for their new album.

The Glasgow band are experimenting with bizarre recording techniques in order to create innovative sounds for their third record. This includes having guitarist Nick climbing up the roof and hanging a mic from the ceiling.

Look out also for something called the Doppler Effect, which according to frontman Alex Kapranos, is like "when you hear an ambulance go past and the sound of the siren pitch changes when it passes you."

The album is targeted for a January 2009 release.

Motley Crue Announce Concert

Motley Crue have recently released their latest album in the States, and they are going to celebrate it by having a world wide concert.

The veteran glam rockers will be performing in Las Vegas, and the show will be broadcast worldwide over the internet. Fans can view it for free at deeprockdrive.com but will have to register first.

The Crue latest is called Saints of Los Angeles and was released in July.

McFly 'Sell' Millions Too

McFly's latest album might not have been released yet but over two million people already have copies of it.

Nope, it isn't due to illegal downloads. Instead, the band gave away free copies of their album with purchase of a newspaper in the UK. Circulation of the paper, The Mail on Sunday went up by 300 thousand as a result.

McFly's album will be available for purchase later this year.
