Singapore Drumfest Announces Semi-Finalists

The preliminary rounds for Singapore Drumfest's Singapore Band Challenge 2008 (SBC) and Drum Challenge Asia 2008 (DCA) ended on a high note at *scape Youth Park on Saturday, July 12. After a day of fierce competition, 11 drummers and 11 bands have been selected for the semi-finals to be held on July 26 at The ARENA, Clarke Quay.

With over 800 audience in attendance, the preliminaries at *scape Youth Park was definitely the place to be on a busy Saturday. Not only were the audience treated to a day's worth of great music and showmanship from the competing drummers and bands, free refreshments and over S$1000 lucky draws prizes were given away, courtesy of Singapore Drumfest, MTV, Coke Zero, Flesh Imp and more.

All qualifying contestants will compete at the semi-finals on July 26 at The ARENA, Clarke Quay at 3B River Valley Road on July 26 from 3 - 8pm. Admissions are charged at $12/nett (inclusive of one alcoholic drink) for 18 & Above and $10/nett (inclusive of one soft drink) for Below 18.
