Britney Spears Visits With Sons
By Jem Aswad (MTV.com)
Britney Spears visited her sons for three hours on Saturday and then went out to dinner with her father, Jamie, according to People.com.
After the lawyers representing Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline reached an agreement on visitation rights Friday, the singer saw her sons Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, for the first time since January 3, the night she was hospitalized after refusing to turn the boys over to Federline. She was hospitalized again at the end of the month.
On Saturday morning, Federline put the boys into his truck and they were driven by his bodyguard to Spears' home. Sources told People that Jamie and Britney's psychiatrist were also present during the visit; another source said, "The real hero was Jamie. He has taken charge, and she has visitation again."
After the three-hour visit, Britney Spears went out to dinner with her father at Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, California, the site reported. Shortly before 8 p.m., they were joined by an assistant, a family friend and two bodyguards.
Saturday's visit was the first time Britney had seen her sons since a court commissioner gave Federline sole physical and legal custody of their two sons and suspended the pop star's visitation rights on January 4. She made two unsuccessful attempts to regain visitation rights in recent weeks.
Spears and her estate were placed under a temporary conservatorship after she was hospitalized on January 31.
The singer's tumultuous life has stabilized somewhat in recent weeks, since her parents took greater control over her affairs. They said last month that they believed her life to be at risk.
