American alternative rockers, Incubus, will be in town for their debut one-night-only gig this March 7. Formed in 1991 in the San Fernando Valley suburb of Calabasas, CA, Incubus - Brandon Boyd (vocals, percussion), Mike Einziger (guitar), Alex Katunich (aka Dirk Lance; bass), and José Pasillas (drums) - is widely acclaimed for their early funk-metal sound. Their latest album, Light Grenades, was also released in November 2006 to popular acclaim.
Organized by LAMC Productions, the Incubus gig will be held at the Fort Canning Park at 8pm. Says the official spokesperson for LAMC, "We are extremely excited to announce this show, as fans have been wanting to see Incubus perform on our shores for a very long time. The last time they were in Asia in 2005, Incubus performed to sold out venues in Malaysia, Manila and Bangkok."
California's screamo alternative outfit, Saosin, is also slated to open for Incubus for the Singapore gig.
