Playground Festival Returns To Jakarta

Clubbers, here's another dance festival for you to bust out those sweaty moves!

Dubbed Playground Festival, the annual dance festival held in Jakarta, Indonesia will feature different aspects of dance music and its components within the experience of being in a night bazaar / fairground with live dance / indie bands, live performances, DJs, MCs, dancers, theatrical and acrobatic performers, performing artists, and visuals are presented together under one event in one night.

This year's highlights includes The Silent Disco, a new concept of dancing without any audible music from the U.K., sneaker and t-shirt pimping station by The Sneaker Addicts from the Netherlands, Bouncy Town, and Extreme Games such as Euro Bungee, Flying Fox, and Slings. After all these crazy playfulness, a host of food stations, bars, massage services and mist zones are also present to recharge those tiring bodies!

Playground Festival made its debut last year at Embassy, which saw its Jakarta's Taman Ria Senayan Complex compound transformed into a unique outdoor festival ground right in the heart of the city. Artists as diverse as Rabbit in the Moon, The Cuban Brothers, Hipp-E, Johnny Fiasco, Seiji of Bugz in the Attic, Lange, and MC Vika Kova, they all delivered what 6,000 punters had said as event of the year.

Bound by last year's venue capacity, 2008 will see a move to a bigger venue, Carnival Beach in Ancol Dreamland, a beachfront location inside the metro area of Jakarta.
