The Cure Announce 13th Studio Album
By Lennat Mak
The Cure -- lead singer/guitarist Robert Smith, bass player Simon Gallup, drummer Jason Cooper, and guitarist Porl Thompson -- have announced that they will be releasing their 13th studio album.
After a series of re-released albums and Festival 2005, a 155-minute DVD that consists of 30 live songs filmed by their fans, crew and "on-the-night-big-screen-cameras" last November, The Cure are already in the process of putting their finishing touches to the as-yet-titled album.
According to the official press release, the album has been recorded in the U.K. with Robert Smith on the producing helm and will be released on Suretone/Geffen this fall.
Other than the new album, The Cure are also going on an headlining tour in the U.S. that kicks off on September 13 in Tampa, Florida.
