The Phantom Of The Opera Opens In Singapore With Over 90,000 Tickets Sold Already

The Really Useful Group's production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom Of The Opera has arrived in Singapore and officially opens tonight at the Esplanade Theatre.
Over 90,000 tickets have been sold to date for the season, which runs till May 13, 2007 -- extended twice to meet demand.
After 20 days of preparation involving 90 technicians from all over the world and 13,500 man hours of labor, all is set for the big opening night.
At the media call yesterday, members of the media were treated to exerpts from the musical.
James Cundall, Chief Executive of Lunchbox Theatrical Productions, who are the local producers said, "The response has been so overwhelming. The tickets are being snapped up faster than we expected and my advice is to grab them before they fly."
