Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom Of The Opera is making a triumphant return to Singapore at the Esplanade Theatre on March 23, 2007 for a limited season.
The musical has already been seen by over 80 million people in more than 20 countries. It played in Singapore back in 1995. As Broadway's longest-running musical, the show has been honored with over 50 major theater awards, including the Tony award for Best Musical.
The Singapore season is produced by Lunchbox Theatrical Productions and David Atkins Enterprises in association with The Really Useful Company Singapore.
Tim McFarlane, Managing Director of The Really Useful Company Asia Pacific, said, "We are delighted after an absence of 12 years to be bringing The Phantom Of The Opera back to Singapore and for the show to be presented in the Esplanade Theatre. The Singapore season is part of a very successful Asian tour by the International Touring Prodcution that has seen the show play in Shanghai, Seaoul and Taipei to capacity audiences. The cast of the production comes from the U.S.A., U.K., Australia, south Africa and Korea, including Brad Little playing the role of the phantom. The Really Useful Company is pleased to be working with James Cundall and David Atkins in bringing this thrilling theatrical spectacle to Singapore."
