Keane Performing In Bangkok
By PC
British trio Keane are coming to Bangkok, Thailand for a one-night only concert on August 9 at the Impact Arena.
Fresh from the recent release of their second album, Under The Iron Sea, Keane are currently touring Europe. Their Bangkok date is the only concert in Southeast Asia. After that, the band will head out to Japan to play at the Summer Sonic festival.
Keane burst onto the music scene with their refreshing sound in 2004 with their breakthrough album, Hopes And Fears, which sold a whopping five million copies worldwide. The trio -- Tom Chaplin (vocals), Richard Hughes (drums) and Tim Rice-Oxley (keybpards) -- earned nominations at The Grammys and emerged victorious at The Brit Awards.
Under The Iron Sea was released last month and made its debut at No. 1 in the U.K. chart. It is an intense album with thumping melodies that blend in perfect harmony with the dulcet vocals of singer Tom, which he puts to good use on the first single "Is It Any Wonder."
Tickets for the Bangkok concert are at 2,200 baht, 1,500 baht, 1,000 baht and 500 baht and are on sale from tomorrow at Thai Ticketmaster (www.thaiticketmaster.com).
