Sean Paul , Xzibit, Shaggy, Simon Webbe To Host EMAs Surround Shows

By News Desk

Sean Paul, Xzibit, Shaggy and Simon Webbe plus designers D&G, Matthew Williamson and D Squared are to host a series of MTV Europe Music Awards related programmes which will be made available to MTV's 429 million homes around the world in the lead up to this years' show.

In addition, John Legend is to perform on the MTV Europe Music Awards: Red Carpet Live! which will be broadcast on MTV at 1900 GMT/2000 CET on November 3, 2005, just an hour before the glittering Awards.

Sean Paul, who with Beyoncé wowed the crowd in Edinburgh in 2003 with a blistering performance of "Baby Boy," will host MTV Europe Music Awards Top Ten Performances. Showcasing the most explosive MTV Europe Music Awards performances from the last 11 years, the show will feature legendary moments including Gwen Stefani's showstopping "What You Waiting For?" from Rome in 2004, Robbie Williams' exclusive performance of "Feel" in Barcelona in 2002 and the Fugees' live rendition of "Ready Or Not" in London in 1996.

MTV Europe Music Awards Host Special will be MC'd by Xzibit, who is more than well equipped to give his verdict on previous hosts after his slick performance at last years' Awards in Rome. Two of the sexiest MTV Europe Music Awards hosts, Jenny McCarthy and Christina Aguilera, come out at the top of his list and, with his tongue firmly in his cheek, his opinions on some of the other Awards hosts are pretty outrageous!

Shaggy, who caused a stir at the Awards in Frankfurt in 2001 by singing "What Can I Do To Make You Love Me" to his clearly un-enamored co presenter Andrea Corr, will be looking at Who Won What at the past 11 MTV Europe Music Awards. He'll also be checking out the biggest winner of all time, Eminem, who has garnered a staggering 7 awards since 1999.

Ex Blue member, Simon Webbe, who dazzled on the red carpet at the Awards in 2004 in head-to-toe D Squared, will be having a witty look at the loudest, craziest, most politically incorrect acceptance speeches in Awards history in MTV Europe Music Awards - Who Said What?. Expect hysteria, insanity and a lot of thanking God!

The MTV Europe Music Awards red carpet is a haven for any fashionista and celebrated designers D&G, Matthew Willliamson and D Squared will be having a "bitch-fest" whilst looking at the fashion successes and failures of the past 11 years in MTV Europe Music Awards - Who Wore What?

The MTV Europe Music Awards: Red Carpet Live! will be capturing all the action, excitement, glitz and glamour as the stars arrive at the Awards on November 3, 2005. MTV presenters Trevor Nelson, Amelia Hoy and Enrico Silvestrin plus movie star Brittany Murphy (8 mile, Sin City) will meet the nominees, performers and presenters as they face the press and their fans at the biggest music event of the year, plus there's an exclusive performance by singer-songwriter-pianist and Best R&B nominee, John Legend, live from the "red" carpet.

The MTV Europe Music Awards surround shows will be broadcast on MTV from 24 October 2005. The MTV Europe Music Awards: Red Carpet Live! will be broadcast on MTV at 1900 GMT /2000 CET on November 3, 2005 and the MTV Europe Music Awards will air live at 2000 GMT/2100 CET on November 3, 2005.

Hosted by Sacha Baron Cohen character "Borat" this years' MTV Europe Music Awards will feature live performances by Akon, Coldplay, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Madonna, Pussycat Dolls, Shakira, System Of A Down, Robbie Williams and The Black Eyed Peas. Presenters include Alison Goldfrapp, Anastacia, Brittany Murphy, Craig David, Gael Garcia Bernal, Jared Leto, Luis Figo, Sean Paul, Shaggy and tATu with one more performer and more presenters to be announced.
