Coldplay And Gorillaz Lead MTV Europe Music Awards Nominations
By Pamela Tan
Even as the dust from the Video Music Awards (VMA) starts to settle, the party for the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) 2005 has only just begun!
Nominations were revealed today as fans rejoiced for their respective idols. Front-runners Coldplay and Gorillaz lead the pack with five nominations apiece. Following close behind is Gwen Stefani, capping a great year with four nominations.
And of course, who can forget Green Day, the big winners of the VMAs 2005? The trio bagged three nominations, as did 50 Cent, Snoop Dog, U2 and James Blunt.
Sponsored by LG Mobile, the award ceremony will be hosted by the Sacha Baron Cohen character "Borat" and will take place in Lisbon on November 3, 2005.
