MTV Style Awards Kicks Off

MTV Philippines, joined by LG Electronics, recently launched the MTV Style Awards to honor today's style pacesetters in music, entertainment, fashion, business, and politics.

"Through the years, we've seen how music greatly influences one's clothing and lifestyle. Since its birth, MTV has been in the center of this influence," points out Chris Lopez, MTV Philippines marketing director. "…With MTV Style Awards, we aim to recognize-particularly here in the Philippines-the style movers and shakers of this generation."

To publicize the affair and the contenders, MTV Style Awards has mounted a bar tour with Dreambar as the next stop on September 16, 10:30 pm. Sexy, easy-listening music and drinks on the house will complement the fashion show and presentation of nominees and People's Choice Awards. Two LG B1300 mobile phones will also be given away.

An awards presentation will bring the MTV Style Awards to a close on September 28 at The NBC Tent in Fort Bonifacio. Featured artists include 2004 MTV Pilipinas biggest victor Bamboo, Jay R, Radioactive Sago Project, Artstrong, 2004 MTV Pilipinas Best Indie Video winner The Late Isabel, and Orange and Lemons.
