Disney World Boots Janet

By MTVE.com

Disney has removed a statue of Mickey Mouse inspired by Janet Jackson, following her Super Bowl 'Nipplegate' scandal.

Disney is reported to have taken down the life-sized statue of the cartoon legend, which was erected last year to celebrate the 75th birthday of Mickey Mouse. The structure had been amongst a number of new attractions unveiled at Walt Disney World in Orlando, with Andre Agassi and Jamie Lee Curtis also chosen as the focus for installations.

Jackson's statue is clad in a tight black outfit similar to the one the singer wore on tour in 1990 after the release of her Rhythm Nation album.

Gary Foster, a spokesman for Disney, confirmed the statue had been replaced by one designed by a one of their own artists.

"Considering all the controversy it drew, we talked it over for a couple of days and decided it would be best to replace hers with a new one," he said.
