Sex Pistols Reunite
By SP
Seventies punk icons The Sex Pistols have reunited to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee in their own unique anarchistic style, according to BBC News.
One of the great punk rock bands of the '70s they were always looking to shock and their anti-royal anthem"God Save The Queen"was banned from radio stations. Following that they were also arrested for playing a gig on the river Thames.
Their comeback gig on Saturday at Crystal Palace in London lacked the violent impact of their heyday but old and new fans alike were still treated to some typical aggression from singer John Lydon (a.k.a. Johnny Rotten) who had a go at the Queen, Tony Blair and David Beckham.
Lydon was joined on stage by band members Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock to"race through their back catalogue, including hits from their Never Mind the Bollocks album."
They also dedicated the song Substitute to the Who's John Entwistle who recently died of a heart attack.
