Chicane And Sonique Live!
By Reeta Sidhu
Most people only know Chicane for that great number he did with Bryan Adams. However, Nick Bracegirdle, or Chicane as he's known to the world, has been around long before that. With the release of"Offshore"in 1996, Chicane paved his way to stardom. His tune was soon heard at clubs and discos and was even featured on the"Cafe Del Mar"series. And then of course, there was the Bryan Adams tune,"Don't Give Up,"which was featured twice on Pete Tong's"Essential Selection"before it hit the No.1 spot on the U.K. Top 40 Charts.Chicane isn't going to be alone this time, no way! Opening for Chicane is the famous DJ and S-Express songwriter, Sonique. Sonique's music took the dance floors worldwide in 2000, thanks to her hit single,"It Feels So Good."And since then, as they always say, there's been no looking back.Chicane and Sonique will be belting out their blend of mixes, tunes, and talent this Friday, March 15, 2002 at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur from 9:00 p.m. onwards. Tickets are priced at RM70 and it's free seating/standing for both acts. (In other words, it's a party, when you get tired, you go look for a seat on your own!) Tickets are available at all Salem Cool Planet Outlets. For more information and ticket reservations, kindly call 012-307 8002, or e-mail flyingfrogz@pd.jaring.my.
