Doomsday For D! Day?

By Jen Tagasa

"I did not fan the flames of controversy,"said D! Day host and actress Dina Bonnevie amid tears during a TV interview on Channel 2.The lovely daytime talkshow host and actress has been included in a libel suit filed by Aga Muhlach's talent manager, Ethel Ramos. The other recepients of the suit are the show's producers and Muhlach's feisty aunt and actress Amalia Fuentes. Bonnevie has recently left D! Day. No word yet on whether the show will be axed or if another host will fill in Bonnevie's place. The"controversy"stemmed from a particular D! Day episode where Fuentes was a guest. Fuentes talked about how Ramos was practically running not only Muhlach's professional life but his personal one as well. During the interview with Bonnevie, Fuentes apparently said some damaging words against her famous nephew's manager. As a result, Ramos has taken legal action. Not to be outdone, Fuentes also filed a lawsuit of her own, which she based on Ramos' own inflammatory comments about her on another TV interview. These sudden upsurge of suits may well be attributed to Muhlach's marriage with TV host and former beauty queen Charlene Gonzales. The wedding, which took place a couple months ago, was surrounded with a myriad of controversies. From the exclusion of Muhlach's father and Fuentes to the non-participation of celebrity friends singer Pops Fernandez and TV host Troy Montero. Fernandez was linked to Muhlach and Montero to Gonzales.
