Madonna, a multi-Grammy-award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, cultural icon, world renowned stage performer, video visionary, children's book author, director and documentary film maker has sold 200 million albums in the course of her unprecedented two decade plus career.
With such a strong history behind her, Madonna is releasing her career spanning greatest hits album titled Celebration – The Ultimate Collection on September 28, 2009.
Aptly titled, the collection is no doubt a celebration of her musical achievements. The songs on Celebration have all been re-mastered and the track-list selected by Madonna and her fans. They cover the expanse of the Material Girl’s extraordinary career of hits including “Everybody,” “Express Yourself,” “Vogue” and “4 Minutes.” The album will also include two new songs, namely “Celebration” and “Revolver” featuring Lil Wayne. Street pop artist “Mr. Brainwash”, who is best known for “throwing modern cultural icons into a blender and turning it up to eleven”, created the cover for Celebration.
With “Celebration” topping the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play charts, Madonna has raked in a record smashing 40 No. 1 singles - by far the most of any artist in the over 30-year history of the list.
