Daniel Powter
Full Biography
Daniel Powter's first big break came through the release of the commercially successful single "Bad Day," along with the eponymous album in 2005. An aurally pleasing piano pop number, "Bad Day" became Powter's most notable hit, even peaking at the Billboard Hot 100 charts in the U.S.

This Canadian Grammy Award-nominated artist was also awarded the Best New Artist award at the Canadian Juno Awards, an annual award presented to Canadian musicians, recognized for their artistic and technical achievements. "Bad Day" was also named the Billboard #1 Song of the Year in 2006.

The next few follow-up singles, "Jimmy Gets High" (2005), "Lie To Me" (2006) and "Love You Lately" (2007) failed to achieve the kind of buzz that "Bad Day" did, but still generated a comfortable amount of radio airplay, nevertheless.

2008 for Powter marks the release of Under The Radar, his third studio album to date. Judging from the sounds of the first single, "Next Plane Home," it seems this new album will not be content to stay, well, under the radar. So hurry down to your nearest store and grab this much-anticipated release from the low-key Powter!
