"Having joined MTV Asia for so many years now, I am sad to say that, before this, I have not won any contest at all. That doesn't come as a surprise as I have never once joined any contest with much dedication. However, I am such a fan of Colbie Caillat that I told myself, if anything else, this is THE contest that I really need to send in as many entries as possible for. For that, I went into a week of intensive clicking and typing of security codes on mtvasia.com. Since I am writing this recount, I guess it's needless to spell out how things turned out.

The showcase, as expected, turned out to be absolutely awesome!! It was super sweet to listen to Colbie sing live. She has got the most marvelous voice ever, and it was definitely better than what you get from her CD. In addition, she performed a couple of tracks not found on her album. Her rendition of 'Beast of Burden' by The Rolling Stones was absolutely fantastic and totally electric. My friend and I were totally enjoying that number. As if that wasn't enough to satisfy my Colbie cravings, MTV actually got us a meet-and-greet session with her!! Double kudos to MTV for that!! Although the meet-and-greet was oh-so-very-brief, I have nothing to complain about. I got a group photo taken with Colbie and got my Coco album signed!
